Metamorphism
Metamorphism is the change in mineral type and structure that occurs in solid rocks when they are heated without melting, put under intense pressure, react with chemically rich solutions or some combination of these three processes. it can bedivided into 3 major and 2 minor types of interactions:
Regional Metamorphism - reactions altering the minerals in a rock  caused by combinations of heat and pressure without melting - generally due to increaseing burial in the earth.

Phase Changes- changes in mineral structures, without chemical changes, caused by increased pressure, heat or the combination.
Contact Metamorphism- reactions caused by intenese heating with little or no pressure.

Metasomatism- the reactions to chemical rich fluids - increases with temperature.
Mylonitization- the fracturing and recrystalization caused by pieces of the Earth sliding over or against each other at faults.
