#AFD_Poetry  With the reading stage where we hold our weekly Poetry readings.

#Hawaiian-Weyr  Where we hold the occasional Poetry Workshops, or just talk and relax between bouts of poetry with AB (Aetobot) our robobutler *Grin*.

Library  Where we keep logs of the poetry readings and links to other poetry, art and literature sites.

1) All Poems are to be written by afders or immediate family and/or close friends.

2) If you have poems msg the reading leader the titles and author so we can keep things running smoothly and fairly - first reads will be given before repeats.

3) Greetings and general conversation should conducted in #Kelekona - not in #AFD_Poetry.
During the readings #AFD_Poetry will be set +mi and only the OPs and reader will be able to talk -
the stage (#AFD_Poetry) should be quiet *Grin*.

4) We run the reading in semi-moderated form - when a poet comes up moderation will go on - you will be given a voice to read when you are introduced *Grin* moderation will be turned off after the poem is complete so be sure to include an END to them - thanks.

5) We call the reader to the stage as a means of announcing when someone is about to read - when you see this happen please stop talking in channel, and wait to be called up if its your turn to read.

6) If you are late and find the room closed please /msg the reading Leader before entering - we will let you know when #AFD_Poetry is off invite only status (poem being read is finished) so you can enter without disrupting a poem.

7) We generally run for about 2 hours with 10 poems in 2 rounds. the rounds are separated by a short stretch and munch period *Grin*.

8) #AFD_Poetry is being logged so anyone who wants a copy let me (Dragonheart) know by msg.

9) If you have something you don't want on the website but would like to read here let me know - I'll pull it first
Also the logs will be added to the Library room here regularly

10) We meet Saturdays at 6:00 PM Pacific time here in #AFD_Poetry   for the weekly readings.

1) we are here to help each other - so no flames

2) The workshop Leader runs this as a chaotic autocracy - almost anything goes till he says stop - his word is the final law in this channel .

3) the workshop runs as a round robin examining one poem at a time with all participants free to make comments and suggestions - once an author is satisfied with their poem we will move on to the next poem.

4) while "critics" are not welcome anyone is free to come and add their comments to the discussion as long as they are in the form of constructive suggestions or comments.

Many of the poems worked on here can be heard in the weekly AFD Poetry Reading held Saturday Evenings at 6:00pm PST in  #AFD_Poetry.
