Dragon's Remembrance (c) 1993 Keienenberger From the air wings back-beat, Landing upon a great crystal shore, Wind pushed ripples retreat. Long neck scanning over waters that beckon, Drawn by memories of past not lore, Thick plated skin tensed seeing a glimmer of smoothing reflection. Mighty foreclaws clench as the ripples clear, Deep red eyes reflecting a vision, Remembrance of another image so much like one they peer. Low in its throat began a rumbling cry, Held back for too long, now a-risen, A sorrowing sadness of when its beloved mate did die.
