I AM CURSED
(DRAGON'S LAMENT)

I am cursed
 with a sense of time
 that splits a second
 into a million parts
 yet sees an eon pass 
 in a single flash.
I see life
 not as seperate steps
 but as a flowing river
 10,000 miles long
 with source and mouth
 and length in view.
People appear both 8 and 80
 even when they're only 17.
And single stones can tell me 
 stories of the ages
 older and greater than
 any told by man.
