Caves, mountains, the rivers did flow, The forest, forever they did call their home. They hunted for food and cared for their young, Yes...they even loved, stranger things happen. One stormy day sadness fell upon the pack, The leader got seperated, somehow lost in the dark. The others searched, they'd never give up, You see...they were like family, protecting their own. His nate was wounded, but no blood was seen, It was a wound of her soul, not of her flesh. Her heart was broken, it was never explained, She just gave up one day, looking, searching no more. As the others looked on, at her sad dead eyes, They sadly watched, as her life slipped away. A sad, lonely girl knelt in the meadow, by the waters edge, Gazing into the blurred reflection, she saw her tears fall upon it. Casting shadows and sunlight upon the thick forest around her, Finding her true love had been her one desire. Wanting, yearning for someone to comfort her, Desperately she had searched, only finding illusion. Mistakes...1..2..3..How many would there be? Then, frantiaclly she tried to wipe away her warm tears, But the harder she tried to stop them, the more that fell. A crunching sound was heard, coming closer to her place, She tried to look, but tears filled her cold green eyes. A shadowy figure she could see coming closer to her now, All at once his strong, yet gentle voice could she hear. "Don't cry," he said, like he already knew her name, "You make me want to slay the beast that has caused your pain." Kneeling beside her, two reflesctions, now side-by-side were made, Reflections...they saw in the water of the black lake.... Tears filled his eyes now, and he cried for her, He knew her pain, yet he knew her not. Where had he come from? How had he known? Why had he come and when would he go?
